Kerala Governement planned to ban liquor in the state.
Is it practical? Just by selling through five star facilitated hotels, this campaign going to be a success?
A state where a part of income coming by promoting tourism, how its practical? I never comment that with alcahol only tourism can be promoted, but nowadays its a part of it,unfortunately.
In India, consumption of alcohol is prohibited in the states of Gujarat,Manipur, Mizoram and Nagaland, as well as the union territory of Lakshadweep
But when we hear about some shocking news like Kerala is the most alcohol consumption state in India, why not Govt have such a move?
The state holds a peculiar record for the largest consumption of liquors in India. The alcohol sale in the state steadily shows an alarming increasing trend and it has become the Boozers' Paradise.
Kerala has the highest per capita consumption of liquors among the Indian states.
Go ahead, but be alert of any kind of tragedies like Kalluvathukal and Vyppin,,,

Scientists grow fully functional thymus in mice from scratch
Science scores a major win, as a new study shows that a team of researchers has grown a fully functioning thymus organ in mice by transplanting lab-grown cells. They say this advance could help in future developments of replacement organs that are grown in a lab.
The study, published in the journal Nature Cell Biology, was conducted by scientists from the MRC Centre for Regenerative Medicine at the University of Edinburgh in the UK.
They note that the thymus is a vital immune organ that produces T cells to guard against disease by searching the body for faulty cells and infections. These T cells lead an immune response to eliminate harmful cells - such as cancer - or bacteria and viruses when they detect a problem.
However, individuals who do not have a fully functioning thymus are unable to generate enough T cells and are therefore vulnerable to infections and diseases.
Although thymus disorders can sometimes be remedied by extra immune cells or thymus transplantation soon after birth, the researchers say both options are limited by a lack of donors and problems with tissue matching.

Global Warming: Confronting the Realities of Climate Change
Sea level rise is accelerating. The number of large wildfires is growing. Dangerous heat waves are becoming more common. Extreme storm events are increasing in many areas. More severe droughts are occurring in others.
Global warming is happening now.
The planet's temperature is rising. The trend is clear and unmistakable.
We are the cause.
We are overloading our atmosphere with carbon dioxide, which traps heat and steadily drives up the planet’s temperature. Where does all this carbon come from? The fossil fuels we burn for energy — coal, natural gas, and oil — plus the loss of forests due to deforestation, especially in the tropics.
We have a choice.
We can act now to reduce our carbon emissions, slow the pace of global warming, and pass on a safer, healthier world to our children. Or we can choose to do nothing, continue pumping massive amounts of carbon into an already overloaded atmosphere, and suffer the increasingly costly consequences.
Knowledge...
Knowledge is a familiarity, awareness or understanding of someone or something, such as facts, information, descriptions, or skills, which is acquired through experience or education by perceiving, discovering, or learning. Knowledge can refer to a theoretical or practical understanding of a subject.
The true sign of intelligence is not knowledge but imagination.
Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance.
A good decision is based on knowledge and not on numbers.
